I would like to express my feeling about the grossly incompetent service at Shakaskraal Clinic.
What I always see in this clinic is devastating. I use the library, which is in the yard where this clinic is. When I come to the library as is my routine, I always see a crowd of patients standing outside who seem to be ignored by the staff nurses. You’ll find women in long queues and some standing outside and when you ask if anyone has attended to them, they say no one since morning.
I’m really crying inside me as the service in this clinic is very, very poor. Whenever I pass by, I find some of the nurses on their mobile phones, chilling outside without caring about how many people are waiting. I ask myself if these nurses are on tea break or what. But I spent 3-4 hours in the library and when I come outside, I find the same nurses on their mobiles, on the same spot.
Really, the staff of this clinic have no humanity and or caring at all. I would be glad if the department of health sees my letter and sorts out this mess.
I feel very bad that our people suffer through our people too.
