LETTERS: A line has been drawn in the kitty litter!

Cat owners are easy to spot in the cat food aisle (dog owners just seem to grab and go!) by their hunched shoulders, furrowed brow, pursed lips and anxious eyes, scanning the shelves for THAT brand that may hopefully meet the approval of the precious, furry f(r)iend back home.
What will it be, sighs the hapless human – pellets (or kibbles), tinned or sachets with gravy, jelly, sauce, minced, or chunks?
Months of whisp(k)ered threats and PETulent meowing, disgusted glares at every meal offered, persistent hovering all deliberate attempts to weaken your resolve NOT to give in, sudden flash of fur as one is about to descend the stairs . . . anyone who has ever owned, no let me re-phrase, anyone who has ever BEEN owned by a feline knows how persistent and successful these furry critters are at getting what they deem to be their constitutional right!
