LETTERS: A gridlocked nightmare

Ballito Drive congestion at certain times around the taxi rank/ circle /Rey Place, becomes a gridlocked nightmare. Anyone else noticed?
As one watches the progression of the monstrous shopping centre, and all the hype around that, what is being done about the road situation that will lead into and out of this centre with the circles that are still in place?
Dear Ballito Town Planners: If there is an upgrade to the roads to eliminate traffic jams that are already occurring, surely this should be done now? …. Just asking!
The circle on Ballito drive is causing huge issues to traffic at peak hours and weekends as the distance between the circle and traffic lights is hopelessly too short, can you imagine the nightmare when the shopping centre is operational?
We all know (and strangely keep silent) about taxis parking three abreast at times, on pavement and road and the clean-out and washing of taxis whilst the rest of the traffic has to manoeuvre around them.
If the powers that be have upgrades and solutions to the rest of Ballito’s problems like streetlights burning 24/7 in areas ie Douglas Crowe, vacant stands that are posing security threats and alien vegetation spread to surrounding gardens (Avondale road), potholes fixed properly and the list goes on . . .
I invite the honorable Mayor and the ward councillor to do an inspection and take action.
Enough is enough!
