LETTERS: Pet poisoning pandemic out of control

There have been too many stories lately in The Courier about pet poisoning.
This is another sad one. Our Lucy, our 11-year old daughter’s Jack Russel picked up poisoning (Rattex we presume) at Zimbali beach last week. We got her home, she had a seizure, we rushed her to Kevin Stevens (from Ballito Veterinary Hospital) who did everything to save her. She was put on a drip, her stomach pumped, her lungs drained, an oxygen mask applied but alas she had a total nervous system collapse and died. How can anyone take a life of a precious pet and feel nothing. We are absolutely devastated and her twin brother, Jack, looks for her and cries as much as we do. That’s the human race for you!
