I promised my husband Matthew that I would take him out for prawns to celebrate his birthday and it was also my late son’s birthday, so off we went around the corner to Mozambik.
When we arrived, Tawanda saw us heading his way and very politely greeted and guided us inside to our table. We sat down and placed our order which came to R320.00 for 16 prawns to share, but then we realized that we could not really afford to spend so much, I immediately got up and wanted to cancel our order. Whilst we were talking to Tawanda and the rest of the counter staff Bradley, the manager, enquired as to what the trouble was. When he was told he advised us without any hesitation that as this was a special occasion, we could have the exact same menu at half the price.
This was the most amazing gesture, and we both really appreciated it very, very much. The prawns and service was absolutely wonderful and before we left the table, the entire kitchen staff and the rest of the waiters came around with bongo drums and sang happy birthday to Matthew and gave him with a free ice cream.
Thank you very much for a stunning lunch, and excellent service.
