After Protec on Saturday I decided to take a train which I have never done before. It should be a very exciting experience but actually became a very unpleasant one.
Looking at Tongaat, the CBD is disgusting, full of plastic and empty containers and papers. I don’t understand why people would pollute a place that they live in and use every day. The train station is worse. People eat chips and then throw their packets on the floor.
I am sorry for being judgemental, it just has to be said. If we pollute like we are doing right now I wonder how this wonderful earth will look in future. Will we have anything to be proud of? It’s not about our municipalities that are not doing their job, it is also about us. We should not litter. The environment is the most precious gift that God gave us. It’s the mother of all treasures of the world so let’s us not underestimate it. Give it the respect it deserves.
