If I hire a machine and then the company decides to come do maintenance on that machine while I am still using it, do I still pay them in full even though they are impeding my use? I will definitely not!
So why do we just keep quiet and allow big companies to take advantage of us. They are certainly not giving us good service for our money. If they are not affected by reduction of toll fees, what incentive do they have for working at a quick pace?
Before, at places where construction used to take place, there used to be boards with the estimated time of completion. We no more see that!
Can we take this matter further? Can we get a petition started or a poll? There has to be something that can be done.
I hope The Courier can take this matter forward and get the people in charge of SANRAL or the construction to give us some feedback. December is almost here and the roads are going to be busier and deadly. These things need to be taken into consideration when planning on doing maintenance etc.
