LETTERS: Keep our neighbourhood safe

Crime appears to be increasing faster than ever. Ballito is experiencing this trend with violent crimes in our business areas and also in our residential area.
The past six months has seen the murder of one of our security officers as well as business and house robberies. Numerous housebreakings and vehicle thefts. Ballito Neighbourhood Watch is a small group of people trying to assist our security and SAPS to identify criminal threats for these authorities to take action. We as a community need to stand together against crime by being organised and knowing what is happening in our streets, who belongs and who looks suspicious.
The BNW would like to organise our streets into clusters to monitor our own security. We will be discussing this at the Striders running club in Dolphon Crescent on Tuesday, November 8. It is also our AGM and we would like volunteers for the 2017 committee.
Please come along and hear the plans for 2017 and help keep our neighbourhood safe.
