LETTERS: When will this be fixed?

This is the scene at the Salt Rock library and municipal offices.
This bridge was washed away almost a year ago and nothing has been done yet to repair the damage. How slack can people get?
Councillors pass this scene almost every day. What have they got to say about the situation?

Ward councillor Malcolm Hubner replies: This matter has been raised with the directors of amenities and the roads dept on a number of occasions and we are advised that the municipality is awaiting the outcome of an insurance claim. I am, however, more than happy to raise the matter again, however it is important that it is understood that we as councillors can only play a facilitation role and have no power to direct officials to do anything.
