On Wednesday, November 9, I had a sinus operation at Alberlito Hospital. This was my sixth visit to this hospital and once again the staff were wonderful, compassionate and attentive to my needs.
Nothing was too much trouble for them. I was extremely nervous but they have a way of calming you!
I had pre-booked at the hospital so when I arrived around 11.30 am for my operation the process was fast, friendly and efficient. The day staff were competent and it was not long before I was wheeled off to the operating theatre.
Once I was back in the ward I was brought a fresh sandwich and juice. My surgeon came to see me mid-afternoon and the nurses were around all the time taking my pulse and making sure I was comfortable. I was on a drip which contained pain medication so had no pain. They came in regularly to change my nose dressing.
Supper was a tasty hot meal and cheesecake. We were offered a hot drink before lights out. Next morning my surgeon came to see me early and gave me the all clear to go home after a healthy breakfast of freshly sliced fruit and yoghurt.
Thank you to all the staff for making my stay such a pleasant one.
