LETTERS: Och, pay back the money, laddie!

I have read online with some interest your article “ANC under attack, says Zuma” (Courier, November 26. As normal he appears to blame the white business people for the ANC’s name being in the mud and definitely is no longer being believed.
All this man has to do is to is replace the R700 billion that has been stolen from the public purse since 1994 (see the Internet) when the ANC took power. In addition to this, instead of blaming other people, he must “man up” and have his day in court to settle the +/-783 criminal charges of corruption against him, or is he too frightened to actually do this?
His whines sound like a broken record that is pulled out frequently to try to cover the inept handling of all the possible ANC corruption which frightens off investors and makes many people in South Africa move their funds to safer countries, even at lower interest rates.
Did he not notice that at the recent elections even the numbers of his own supporters have considerably reduced, as they now fully understand that the ANC cadres are merely getting financially richer at the expense of the people.
The ANC appear to possibly finance several lost leaders, government entities that are run and managed by what are possibly incompetent ANC people, possibly even friends, and run at the taxpayer’s cost who have to continually bail them out. This is BEE at its best. Several examples are SAA, Eskom, Dept of Water Affairs, Telkom, Transnet, many municipalities and Sanral. Those are only a few, and does not take into account all the possible corruption within those government entities, and possibly within the ANC as a total entity.
So Mr Zuma, give the SA taxpayers back the “missing” R700 billion, have your day in court, stop whining and blaming other people for the possible ANC’s greed, and then perhaps, and I say perhaps, your whining may be listened to by the people of South Africa and the rest of the world.
