Roads are congested and motorists drive bumper to bumper. On Sunday morning two motorists, both on their way to church, were involved in a nasty bumper bashing. One person sustained injury because of whiplash and both vehicles were damaged to the tune of several thousands of Rands.
It turned out that the driver of one of the vehicles drove into the stationery vehicle in front because of the distraction of a beggar waddling through the traffic on crutches.
These beggars are endangering motorists and themselves, especially during the holiday season when traffic is heavy throughout the day. Is it not time that authorities put a stop to this illegal practice?
