The residents and ratepayers of Zinkwazi Beach wish to sincerely thank the law enforcement agencies, KwaDukuza Community Safety (traffic), the South African Police Services and Alpha Security for the excellent services rendered by their officers in Zinkwazi over the New Year period, January 1 and 2 2017.
All vehicles entering the village were stopped and searched for alcohol, weapons and drugs which if found were confiscated. Drivers were breathalysed. Traffic flow in and out of the village and parking down on the beachfront was monitored and well conducted.
All of these officers performed their duties in an exemplary and professional manner in difficult circumstances and in the blazing summer heat.
This resulted in the most peaceful and controlled New Year that we have had, allowing many people to enjoy the beaches and facilities of the village. For this we are very grateful.
A big thank you as well to the KwaDukuza Beach Cleaning Dept who very quickly moved in on the Monday and Tuesday mornings and cleared up and removed the mountains of refuse left behind.
