As a very long time resident of Ballito, I have experienced the regular electrical failures over the years. These have become the norm in the complexes in the Compensation area. We experienced six power failures in one 16-hour period.
Not only is this very inconvenient but puts all one’s electrical appliances and the contents of fridges/freezers at risk. It was noticed during these failures that Ballito shopping area was like a roman candle – no failures.
These failures make one wonder if the persons controlling the Ballito Electrical Department have the qualifications, knowledge and experience required for this position or is it just lack of regular maintenance to the infrastructure?
Comments from other body corporates would be appreciated.
