Letters: Rotary Zimbali’s annual fundraiser

On behalf of the members of the Rotary Club of Zimbali, I wish to thank the community of Ballito and surrounds for their support once again, by purchasing the freshly-cut Christmas trees that we had on sale this past December.
The mission of our organization is to help and support the underprivileged within our local community and, with your generous support, the funds raised from this initiative are what we need to support our mission, and thereby fund community service projects that address many of today’s most critical issues such as children at risk, poverty, hunger, illiteracy and the lack of water and sanitation. Simply put, if it wasn’t for faithful supporters like you, we as a service organization wouldn’t exist, so thank you for your ongoing support!
A fundraising initiative of this magnitude also requires a lot of forward planning, involvement, support and sponsorships from other businesses and individuals. In this regard, I would also like to place on record our sincere thanks and appreciation to:
The Quarter Boutique Centre: for the use of their premises and promoting the event.
Form Scaff: for their loyal support and once again sponsoring the structure for the sale of the trees.
Ballito Car Wash: for sponsoring helpers to assist during the entire duration of the sales.
Lindani Mngoma from KwaDukuza Municipality: for his efficient and friendly service with the advertising on billboards.
All Ex Rotarians: for all their skill and help in erecting and dismantling the structure.
