I currently own two properties in Salt Rock: one in Sheffield Gardens on Melinda Lane off Sheffield Beach Road and the other in Sheffield Manor, off Sheffield Beach Road
Over the past nine years in which I have resided in Salt Rock, these roads have not been properly maintained. I have had numerous replacements of tyres due to huge potholes on both roads. Apart from the financial inconvenience caused, drivers tend to veer onto oncoming lanes to avoid damaging their vehicles. This poses a serious hazard to all motorists as a potential high risk accident zone. Poor visibility on the road markings also pose a risk to all motorists.
I plead that the ward council assists in attaining much needed resurfacing and marking of these roads to ensure the safety of all residents within the vicinity.
