With the disturbing reports of crime increasing at a high rate in Ballito, I ask why there isn’t more of a police presence in the town?
Why is there no police station closer than where it is now situated, way out Umhlali way? Even a satellite police station that should be in the area of Salt Rock where the municipal “buildings” are?
Two nights ago, someone who was sending frantic messages to say that three house alarms had gone off in their street, was trying to get somebody, anybody, to investigate!
The only police vehicles I ever see are parked at shopping centres, and I ask why they are not patrolling and being visible in the areas that are being reported on regular basis?
And it appears things are only going to get worse.
Urgent and drastic action needs to take place in getting the police force operating effectively in helping combat this scourge of crime that is increasing.
