Letters: Teachers who cultivate and inspire

I’m a 17-year-old TrinityHouse Palm Lakes learner. In one of the recent issues of The North Coast Courier, I was inspired by an article entitled, “Excellence from nothing”.
This article spoke about Nondenisa Secondary School. Despite having excessive numbers per classroom, hard work and achieving excellence is the name of the game. It is likewise with the learners.
On school grounds, my time is well spent under the supervision of my teachers. Education being of vital importance for one’s development, our parents place our young minds in the hands of our educators. This investment is reliant on the hope that these hands belong to zealous educators who are ready to cultivate their children into being all they can become.
I commend all the teachers out there, who wake up each morning with a vision to teach and a mission to carry out that vision to the fullest. I also commend the teachers who are underpaid but stand firm in sharing the power that is knowledge. You light the way to a better and brighter tomorrow!
