For quite some time the KwaDukuza SAPS has been best known for their shilly-shally approach and lack of prompt responsive measures in dealing with concerns and issues raised by the community.
Contrary to the above, on Friday February 3, in the evening, I made a call requesting the immediate intervention of KwaDukuza SAPS as neighbouring Dladla Tavern was intolerably noisy. It was outrageously awful, so that inside my house we barely could chat, let alone just take a peaceful nap. Despicably miserable as it was, the owners seemed just fine and it was business as usual.
I then called the KwaDukuza Police Station and Brigadier Mhlongo, who instantly sent police to come and quell the noise. Subsequently, the SAB promotion truck was forced to leave. It was then that we were able to have a peaceful sleep.
Thanks to Brigadier Mhlongo and her team for protecting our rights which, every weekend, are being violated by this tavern.
