Letters: Thank you for support

With limited financial support from the Department of Social Development, welfare agencies around the country are forced to engage in fundraising drives all the time so that operational costs can be met. The Charity Fair is the biggest fund raising event hosted by Tongaat Child Welfare. The success of this event depends on a whole host of factors.
The Tongaat Child and Family Welfare Society is fortunate to still enjoy the benevolence of sponsorships and donations in these trying times. I want to say a big thank you to our major sponsors Tongaat Hulett, Victoria Medi-Clinic and Rightback Systems and all other sponsors for your kind generosity. Our sincere thanks and appreciation to Checkout for the Children’s Carnival where 2000 goodie bags and t-shirts were handed out. May you always be blessed with good fortune in all your future endeavours.
The Tongaat Child and Family Welfare Society also enjoys tremendous support and assistance from religious institutions, sister organisations, civic associations and the general community at large. For this we are forever grateful. A big thank you to all our service providers on the fairgrounds, these include SAPS, Metro Police, The Fire Department, Victoria Medi-Clinic and IPSS.
The role played by our volunteers especially at this time is always awe inspiring and unbelievable. These are people who sacrifice many hours to make sure that all is well before the Fair. To you our dedicated volunteers a very big thank you.
Finally, I would like to thank you the community, who always come in your large numbers, not only to have fun at the Fair, but also to support a worthy cause.
