South Africa belongs to all who live it, the problems of this country such as drugs/alcohol, crime/robbery and illiteracy/unemployment affect us all, therefore I would plead to companies to extend a helping hand to the underprivileged youth of this country in order to eliminate these problems.
Sembcorp Siza Water set an example by providing bursaries to Akshay Durhapersdh, Pinky Ngubane, Kerina Naiker and Kaira Birbal example (Empowering the future with Sembcorp Siza Water, Courier, April 20). I would like to see other companies to do the same. Government alone cannot address the problems of this country, we need the intervention of private sector.
Bursary beneficiaries must grab this opportunity by both hands, do your best to make Sembcorp Siza Water, your family and entire iLembe District Municipality proud. I expect other companies to do as Sembcorp Siza Water did, God will bless you for that. Bravo Sembcorp Siza Water, Bravo!
