On Thursday April 27 I was jogging with my UK visitor along Ocean Drive close to Simbithi heading towards Salt Rock.
The intention was to show my guest all the beautiful beaches along the way when I, unfortunately, had a really bad fall on the tarmac resulting in roasties on my face, shoulder, and hands and a painful knee. My cheek and chin also swelled up very quickly which led people and the ambulance to believe I might have a fracture.
The incredible part of all of this was the totally amazing people who stayed there assisting us – Sharon, her husband, and young daughter, Wendy and the kind couple with the pram who even offered their home to recover. I am so grateful to all of you for your extreme kindness and time – truly touched and hope that our paths cross again.
While there was no time for all the beaches, my friend certainly got a taste of the amazing people and their big hearts on this beautiful coast.
