Letters: We don’t cull humans, do we?

Humans aren’t killed or considered for culling because of their increasing numbers versus their needs, so why monkeys (Monkey problem out of control, Courier May 12)?
People need to rather plant indigenous trees and plants in their gardens for the creatures which are meant to be here. Humans are destroying the forests which belonged to the monkeys and other animals before we came here. Problem is, too many people, not monkeys.
Just one other problem monkeys are being accused of which I have seen humans doing, is opening the rubbish bags on pavements and throwing the contents all over to see what’s inside. Humans, monkeys, all the same really, so leave the monkeys to live, the same as we do the homeless. Let’s just try and fix the problem by planting more ‘food’ for our furry fellows.
