Letters: Appeal for Knysna animals

I am making this appeal on behalf of the animals that are injured, some fighting for their lives, and those that have been lost and abandoned due to the horrendous fires in the Knysna area.
I am assisting Lauren Frizelle, who I am sure is known to many of you as a wonderful advocate for the rights of lost and abused animals. We are appealing to you to open your hearts to this cause. Let us show the world what Ballito stands for when there is a need, even outside our own municipal boundaries.
We need dog and cat food, old blankets, old towels, pillows, old bandages, pet kennels, beds, pet carriers and hot water bottles. Betadine, and any burn wound ointments that you may not be using would be fantastic. Leads and collars that you may no longer need are also desperately needed.
Drop-off points are at: Aloe Vet (Ballito Junction), Mersat (The Quarter) and Mo-Zam-Bik Restaurant (The Boulevard).
I am more than willing to collect from you if you are in the Ballito area and cannot get the goods to any of the drop off points as mentioned above. Contact me on 074 04 04 777.
