I am a resident of Salt Rock, and notice daily how derelict and neglected our part of town looks!
Besides the roads being in a shoddy state, the buildings and businesses also leave much to be desired. It looks like no progression has taken place since the 60’s, and is quite depressing!
The owners of the majority of the properties in the CBD that I have been informed is the Hulett family, may have taken an interest in the place years ago, but I do believe they’re just reaping now and not sowing back into the community.
I would love to see Salt Rock get a facelift and look the part of a prestigious, up market holiday destination that we can all be proud of.
