I refer to the letter “Salt Rock looking neglected” (Courier, June 16) and advise that I share the same sentiments. However, the perception that owners of the property are to blame is not correct.
Besides the pot holes, the sidewalks and the lights that remain a constant challenge with the local authority, we are happy to advise that the shopping centre is finally going to go ahead. Took a long time! But thanks to council for eventually coming to the party!
I watched an article on BDTV channel 412 last week on how successful the Richards Bay local authority is in working with locals, and business and providing incentives to bring more investors and job opportunities to the area.
