I have travelled on the N2 North ever since it was decided to cut the road over the Umhloti river in two, funnelling traffic into the smaller half for north-bound traffic. Since then numerous bad accidents have happened, especially large vehicles causing backups sometime almost as far as Tiffany’s.
May I enquire what is happening? What is the hold-up? Who is responsible? Why do they want to broaden the road only on the northern side of the bridge?
At the moment, nothing and nobody works except two red- flag-wavers warning motorists of impending danger and danger is a reality, especially at night.
