It was really good to see action finally being taken last week to deal with the roadworks on Leonora Drive which, after six months of degradation, had become quite a traffic hazard.
This was followed up a few days later with two of the three street lights in Susan Avenue working again after being out for close to a year.
We began to get really excited when the electricity truck arrived at our driveway on Saturday morning to fix the third faulty streetlight in our road.
So, you can understand why last night was indeed a moment to celebrate! After more than two years of leaving and arriving in pitch darkness, we came home to a well-lit roadway with all street lights up our road lighting up our way.
Thank you to our ward councillor, Tammy Colley, for responding to my complaint and thank you to the municipality for delivering the services we pay for. Our faith is restored!
SHELLEY BIRNIE, Ballito
