As I am sending my Christmas and New Year wishes I firstly want to say a heartfelt “Thank you!” for all the benevolence, all help and support and every sign of friendship which I was privileged to receive this year.
The extraordinary event in the year 2017 was the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Brotherhood of Blessed Gérard’s on October 28.
It was an extraordinary honour that His Excellency, the Grand Hospitaller of the Order of Malta, Dominique Prince de La Rochefoucauld-Montbel, came all the way from Rome to grace us with his presence and delivered the keynote speech.
It was on October 29 that we received another special honour: His Excellency, the Grand Hospitaller presented Dr. Paul Thabethe and Dr. Khaya Nzimande with the Cross of a Knight of Magistral Grace of the Order of Malta and Mrs. Thuli Thabethe and Mrs. Yvonne Renaud with the Cross of a Dame of Magistral Grace of the Order of Malta.
We are grateful that we received a new and slightly longer version of our Image Film “Where misery is overcome by love” from the Royal Film Company.
