After a two-year delay and many letters requesting an explanation as to the reason for delay in completion of the N2 tarring project, we were told by Sanral nine months ago it was as a result of inferior material that had to be returned.
What hog wash!
What has happened to the funds allocated for this project?
Not being told the truth, we now speculate: Dubai? Nkandla? I am sure preposterous. But please tell us, the users of that road at least twice a day.
We are now informed by “The Witness” that the KZN Department of Transport has a backlog of R80 billion to fix potholes. Is there a correlation?
Whatever has been done is now deteriorating fast. After many accidents, are they waiting for a death?
