Letter: A very big thank you, so many acts of kindness

Despite amazing treatment and care at Alberlito Hospital and with incredible support from Hospice, there was sadly nothing more that could be done for Mini.

Recently my two daughters and I heard of a little girl called Mini who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and decided to assist her and her mom (a very young single parent) where we could.

Despite amazing treatment and care at Albert Luthuli Hospital and with incredible support from Hospice, there was sadly nothing more that could be done for Mini.

It was Mini’s fifth birthday on December 18 and The Boathouse and Coco De Mer, both boutique hotels in Ballito, very generously had Mini and her mom Mpilo and a friend to spend a night at each hotel.

Both places went out of their way to look after them, and showered Mini with extra gifts and surprises.

Mini sadly passed away on New Year’s Day, just two weeks after her birthday.

We would like to thank The Boathouse and Coco De Mer and all their staff for being so amazingly generous.

We would also like to thank Cara from Starlight Photography who did a photoshoot of Mini and her mom just a few weeks earlier, and to our many friends for their support.

Our love and thanks to all.
