On January 27, I put out an appeal on social media for sealed five litre bottles of water so we could contribute to the plight in the Mother City in a small but meaningful way.
The Gift of the Givers are doing incredible work organising the logistics to the Cape so our job was fairly easy, collect water and arrange for a local transporter (thank you Angela Geyser from Lady Bug) to generously transport to the GOG warehouse.
The response from ordinary people was beyond extraordinary.
To every single one of you that made a valuable contribution to the initiative, I would like to thank you for your overwhelming generosity.
You have helped move day zero to July 9. You make South Africa great.
