Letter: Parking confusion

On leaving the Junction Shopping Centre I was requested to pay R8 for seven minutes over the hour.

I spent just over an hour shopping in Checkers and Pick ‘n Pay at The Junction, so I therefore had my parking ticket stamped at both shops for an additional half hour.

On leaving the Junction Shopping Centre I was requested to pay R8 for seven minutes over the hour.

When I queried this with Mr A Moodley, the person in charge of parking meters, I was informed that the parking card was stamped at the same place (position) and the one stamp nullified the first half hour stamp. But Mr Moodley returned my R8.

I feel that the parking cards should be marked at different positions so one receives an extra half hour shopping time at each shop.

The above information should be made available alongside all half hour marking devices as well as the parking ticket pay points until the parking card stamp positions have been altered.

Ballito

Dear D Williams Many thanks for your letter sent to The North Coast Courier.

The validation is an extra 30 minutes from either of the three stores and not per store.

Therefore it is a maximum of 90 minutes free parking. We thank you for your patronage at Ballito Junction and we look forward to welcoming you back to our Mall soon.

Many thanks

Geraldine Jorgensen (CEO)
