Dr Upasna Vidatha Singh of Ballito writes: My sincere gratitude is extended to my teachers, friends and family who responded to my appeal for assistance in fulfilling a tremendously successful outreach project for the severe acutely malnourished infants in our ward at The Boitumelo Regional Hospital in Kroonstad, Free State.
With their heart-warming support, we acquired blankets, hats and long-sleeved vests to keep these infants warmer during the extremely low winter temperatures of Kroonstad.
The hospital management and I place on record our immense appreciation to these Samaritans, who in their generosity, embraced the proverb that “it takes a whole village to raise a child”.
The items were handed over to the CEO, DS Mtimkulu and the general paediatrics ward on May 2 amidst much joy and thanks to the Lord.
