Paul Naidoo of the Ballito Lions Club writes: It is becoming a common trend that the Lions Club at Townsend Park has become a dumping ground for bin bags of litter and garden refuse.
As a reputable and well-respected organization, The Lions Club endeavors to promote a moral standard of uprightness and integrity through fundraising events on a part-time basis.
These members volunteer their time and energy to assist the underprivileged and destitute.
Regrettably, the condition of this lovely park is creating a poor reflection on the club and its positive influence.
Therefore, we humbly appeal to the public from the Ballito and surrounding communities to refrain from this practice and work together in responsibly caring for our environment by keeping this area clean and by making full use of the park’s bins and waste containers.
As a result, all members will be able to continuously enjoy a fresh outing for family and charitable entertainment.
