A Nail and Brow Den at Woolies? I kid you not. Where have I been? And if you did not know about it, where have you been?
I was recently invited to review The Fox Box inside the beauty area at The Ballito Junction Woolworths (on the second floor) where I was greeted by friendly and professional staff.
It was such a pleasure sitting in the middle of all the Clarins, Estee Lauder and Smashbox beauty products while my nails were being pampered by nail technician Silindile. There were ladies who seemed to be regular clients – as the staff knew them by name – popping in and out to get a quick brow tint or thread.
I was lucky to try something new on my nails: Polygel; an odourless all-in-one formula (in plain words I would say it’s a mixture of gel and acrylic). It’s weightless on your nails and there is no airborne dust during application.
Stand out:
The Fox Box has by far the best range of nail colours I have seen in Ballito.
Pricing:
Polygel overlay (75min) costs R385.
Must have:
Nail repair and strengthener costs R80 and is applied to your nails before going under the gel lamp to help push the product into your nails.
