Letter: The Zumas failed us

Why we are supposed to support the Zumas when they go to court to face their own demons is beyond me.

Ntokozo Mcineka ka Makamu of Kwadukuza wants to know why we are so fascinated with the Zuma family: As if we don’t have enough mediocrity in our country, what is this obsession people have with the Zuma family?

Why we are supposed to support the Zumas when they go to court to face their own demons is beyond me.

When Zuma senior goes to court everything should come to a chaotic standstill. Loyalists come from all walks of life to “support” him but for what really?

When Duduzani goes to court the Mxitamas of this world come in full force to give support to Zuma Jnr as if that will give us our land back or bring down the price of petrol.

This shows that we have bored politicians in this country who are tired of working for the people and they spend their time supporting the Zumas. Why as a country do we give so much attention to people who failed us?

As for Zuma Jnr it became a big deal that he came to court shackled, as if he was the first to do so.

The Zumas should face the law of the country and let the law take its course. There’s nothing special about them.
