Sharon Cossey of the Feral Feline Fund writes:
The FFF receiving some wonderful donations for our Mandela Day Drive at Absolute Pets Ballito and Salt Rock shops.
The target was to reach 67 donated items, then we would donate 67kg of cat food towards our much-needed feeding scheme for more than 350 feral cats per night, mostly in the Tongaat and Stanger area.
Whenever we get called in to help sterilise feral cat colonies, they then request food to help feed them which is putting huge strain on our budget.
To date FFF have sterilised over 3000 cats, thus preventing thousands of unwanted kittens.
A huge thanks to all the generous public who supported this drive.
Some people donated dog food which we will be handing over to Sables for all their rescue dogs, so it’s a win-win for all our beautiful needy animals in the community.
We thank the public and Absolute Pets for their very generous donations.
