Letter: Road gets face-lift

"This was part of the IDP Plans submitted to council in 2017 - 3.9km of Ocean Drive was resurfaced" - Tammy Colley.

Tammy Colley, Ward 6 councillor, writes:

I am pleased to announce that the R8 million face-lift for Ocean Drive has been completed.

The project which I motivated started in March, but was halted due to the national lockdown.

It commenced again during level 3 and has now been finished.

This was part of the IDP Plans submitted to council in 2017 – 3.9km of Ocean Drive was resurfaced.

I would like to thank the road users for their patience while they were inconvenienced with the stop and go delays during construction.

The final outcome of the project has brought smiles to many road users.

All road users are benefiting and enjoying this resurfaced asset, and we will continue to highlight the importance of continual maintenance of our road infrastructure as well as highlighting other roads which require resurfacing and maintenance.

Should you wish to alert me to additional roads in Ward 6 (Ballito) that require attention,
