Letter: Disappointed ratepayers

"After many requests to the KZN roads department, no action was taken. It is disappointing that as ratepayers, we have to pay for these repairs ourselves" - Malcolm Nesbitt and Syd Tyson.

Body corporate chairman Malcolm Nesbitt and trustee Syd Tyson of Evergreen Estates, Salt Rock write:

Due to the fact that the access road to Evergreen Estates in Salt Rock has become suitable for only 4X4 vehicles, the the body corporate had no other choice but to purchase material and hire equipment and labour and repair The Ridge Road.

The stop signs on the corner have never had white road markings, which we also have to attend to.

This has resulted in many near misses with traffic.

After many requests to the KZN roads department, no action was taken.

It is disappointing that as ratepayers, we have to pay for these repairs ourselves.
