Nelson Puckree of Stanger Heights writes:
Now that the Democratic Alliance Congress is done and dusted, it was no surprise to see no Indian members in the engine room of the DA.
Other race groups are included so I am somewhat puzzled as to why the DA labels itself as the diverse party when it ignores Indians.
At least 90% of Indians support the DA yet they don’t have a voice in decision making at DA national level.
The Indian community continues to support the DA election after election. I believe the DA leadership has not stood up for the Indian community.
Currently the DA is wounded and bruised with senior leaders resigning, one was a former leader himself.
I see more exodus in the coming months and the DA is going to struggle.
Some of the current DA councillors in KwaDukuza are voiceless, toothless and some in my opinion are expensive prostitutes soliciting the ratepayers.
I believe this is going to make it hard for the newly elected DA leader, Mr John Steenhuizen, in 2021.
A great leader with good negotiating and debating skills could be lost.
I challenge the councillors to prove otherwise.
Awaiting their response.
