Ken Lever of the Rotary Club of Ballito writes:
A huge thank you to the residents and visitors of Salt Rock, Sheffield Beach and Umhlali for their incredible generosity on Saturday with donations of groceries to the Rotary Christmas Cheer Fund.
Unfortunately the club had to limit the collection outside the supermarket at Tiffany’s to Saturday as a number of members were unable to assist.
Nevertheless an astonishing amount of groceries ranging from rice to biscuits, tins to packages, was donated.
The groceries will be packed into trays for needy families in our area in the lead up to Christmas.
We have made up food parcels over the past five or six years but this year seems to have outdone all the others.
Many, many thanks to all you generous people for your donations.
We will ensure that they are delivered to those in need. Best wishes to all on the Dolphin Coast for Christmas and the New Year from the Rotary Club of Ballito.
