Letter: Help the feral cats

"For those who are passionate about the caring of feral cats, our wish list would be for you to come on board and help us by donating" - Riki Yoko.

Riki Yoko of the Feline Feral Fund writes:

For those who follow us on Facebook, you’ll be aware of the countless TNRs we’d been doing during the past year.

The lockdown period came in one sense as a blessing because we could trap huge colonies in industrial areas to our heart’s content.

Wherever we got stuck in, we followed up by creating feeding stations for these unfortunate cats.

Those who are running the feeding schemes know who you are, sending love and blessings.

The areas where we’ve been doing most of the trapping have been Tongaat, Stanger, Westbrook and Tinley Manor.

Our outreach programme now consists of 16 feeding stations; all the cats are getting the best possible care and love.

To the lady who supplies her own catfood in Sheffield, thanks again.

For those who are in a position to sponsor us and have kept on doing so (thanks IPSS for also being there when we run dry on cat pellets), a great big thanks; we are indebted to you all.

For those who are passionate about the caring of feral cats, our wish list would be for you to come on board and help us by donating.

Our expenses are huge and our account can do with a little bit of help.

We appreciate every amount received; those who donate on a monthly basis, however small you think it may be, it all adds up and helps our outreach programme to flow smoothly.

We are a registered NPC so therefore you know what that means.

There are those who have been helping us by donating books for our regular book sales, those working away from the public eye that sees that our accounts are being paid timeously, those who donate cat food; the list goes on and on.

To our online wizard, wow! You’re something else.

To conclude: the wonderful people of Ballito have been kind to us and we wish you a great holiday season. Happy reading!
