Since 2007, the team in the Diabetes Awareness Programme of the Friends of the Sick Association has been visiting senior citizen groups, shopping areas, schools, social clubs etc to conduct pressure, sugar and cholesterol tests free of charge.
We have met the most wonderful loving and caring people and have made friends for life.
Since March 2020, Covid-19 has put a stop to our work.
We miss the camaraderie that we shared but we hope that when this terrible pandemic ends, we will be reunited.
In the meantime, take care of yourself and remain courageous and steadfast.
Keep the faith.
