Letter: Root out corruption

We are spending millions of rands on commissions to catch a crook only to find out that they are above the law and become untouchable.

Nelson Puckree of KwaDukuza writes:

The President in his Sona address spoke about the fynbos.

This is why the ANC needs to cleanse the party of all the thugs, cowboys and scoundrels that taint and bring the ANC into disrepute because of people’s power.

The President has no control of the ANC.

The ANC is in stormy waters while the country and its people suffer.

I believe the ANC must die like the fynbos.

It needs to rise with young credible leaders to take this country forward.

We are spending millions of rands on commissions to catch a crook only to find out that they are above the law and become untouchable.

People must stop supporting those charged with white collar crimes.

I believe that you are guilty until you prove your innocence and not “innocent until proven guilty”.

I’m disappointed with people who flex their muscles and support shady characters and intimidate the judiciary.

People, the country needs you to fight corruption but instead you support corruption and undermine South Africa.

Let’s uphold the rule of law.

Once charged, these individuals must face the consequences of their actions and not fuel the emotions of their supporters with false information and cry victimisation or blame apartheid.

The time is now to save South Africa, the country that the ANC and many others fought for and died for.
