#Letter: Please clean our town!

"Tourists, visitors and residents are tired of excuses. Get temporary workers for a few weeks to clean our town. Every corner is an eyesore" - Krsna Sing.

iLembe District Municipality DA caucus leader, Krsna Sing, writes:

As the festive season is upon us, it is time for the KwaDukuza municipality to do introspection in terms of the cleanliness of our town.

We cannot accept the present state of affairs.

Tourists, visitors and residents are tired of excuses. Get temporary workers for a few weeks to clean our town. Every corner is an eyesore.

Law enforcement must also do their bit.

Residents and the community is also guilty of dumping anywhere they like, disregarding others. We are fast becoming a dumping site whether in town or residential areas.

Where is our pride? Is it acceptable to continue living and shopping in these pathetic conditions? Of course not!

We must all become involved to keep our town and residential areas clean to create a healthy environment.

We can do it, and the municipality must take the lead.
