#Letter: Post office neglect is a disgrace

"I am of the belief these residents need to be rewarded some way or other, either free rentals for life or their names be recorded and framed at the entrance of the post office" - Jay Haricharan.

Jay Haricharan of Sheffield writes:

I read your article in last week’s edition of The North Coast Courier in respect to residents assisting in the upgrading the Umhlali post office.

What a shame and disgrace this is to the government and the SA Post Office.

It needs to be recorded the staff at the post office go the extra mile for their customers.

I have known Samantha for more than 10 years, and she needs an award for her outstanding work performance.

I am of the belief these residents need to be rewarded some way or other, either free rentals for life or their names be recorded and framed at the entrance of the post office.

Recently I heard over the news that in the Eastern Cape 6 or so post offices were closed owing to non-payment of rent.

How many such cases have been recorded in KZN for the same reason?
