Michel de Rauville of Salt Rock writes:
Our councillors seem to be taking their duties seriously, continuously writing and commenting in the media about all sorts of things.
For example: 3humps placed on a perfectly good road on the Chakas Rock highway link road, with councillors happily standing in front their proud installations.
There are 4 intersections on that stretch of road, some of them a total mess because of the traffic.
What better way to resolve that problem than to install 4 traffic circles which would achieve two objectives – sort out the intersections and calm the traffic probably much better and gentler than the humps.
I suppose circles are a regional and provincial concern and we only do humps.
Well, we could use the hump money for circles. It would be money better spent.
This solution could also apply to the Salt Rock link road at the Sheffield turnoff and at Mount Richmore/ Dunkirk and also Hugh Dent and Siggi’s.
