April Drew of Ballito writes:
The ongoing daily traffic congestion caused by the construction project on the M4 has for some time now strained pupil-teacher relations at my school.
The delays at the intersection between Douglas Crowe Drive, the M4 and Leo Boyd Highway during peak morning traffic not only have a detrimental effect on the adult workforce often arriving late for work, but also affect school pupils who report late for class.
Even when we leave home earlier in anticipation of the delays, the situation is sometimes so bad pupils still fail to arrive on time. This is beyond their control.
We all hope the construction project, a necessary disruption to help alleviate long-term traffic challenges as the region continues its fast pace of development, will be finalised as a matter of urgency.
