Amid everything that is going on, I want to share a story of positivity.
A group of friends and I, all in our late 50s, have been meeting annually for the past 30 years after we all met teaching at La Mercy Primary in the 1990s.
This is a cherished get-together for all of us and something we look forward to, getting to catch up with each other and reminisce.
Three weeks ago we met at the Grand Exotic in Sheffield for lunch.

We noticed a young couple listening in on our conversation, clearly amused by our banter.
Although they never came over, what they did for us was far kinder.
Upon asking for the bill, we discovered, much to our surprise, that the couple had paid for it in full.
On the slip they left, they wrote, “Hope you ladies enjoyed your catch-up! God Bless! Remember to always make time for each other, you look great together!”
The couple paid in cash and left before we could thank them.
If it was you who paid our bill on March 31, thank you for bringing so much kindness in such a difficult time.
